The Oregon Ducks won the Rose Bowl for the first time in 95 years on Monday. Since I could talk I have rooted for the Ducks, so this was a huge victory for me.

Believe it or not, I remember attending the Rose Parade in 1995. I watched atop my aunt and uncle's ladder so I could see above the crowd as the Ducks marched by. This year's parade was just as exciting. Although the 3,000 miles between me and Pasadena prevented me standing atop the ladder once more, I still loved watching the beautiful floats roll down Orange Grove and Colorado Boulevard.

My mom made me a scrapbook of my childhood.
This is the page dedicated to the 1995 Rose Parade.

A list of my favorite floats
1. The Oregon Ducks (of course)

2. The City of Downey (shout out to the city I was born in)

3. Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance Pet Foods, which featured surfing dogs!

After this win, I have a prediction for next season: the Ducks are going to the National Championship. You see, there has become a pattern that I would like to point out.

2009 season: Rose Bowl loss
2010 season: National Championship loss
2011 season: Rose Bowl win
2012 season: (see the pattern?)

Great job this year Ducks and I'll see you at the National Championship next year!
