I split an appetizer of mozzi carrozzi, which was essentially a glorified grilled cheese, and pizza, which was straight from their brick oven. Although their cocktails were expensive, especially for this newly-21 year old college student, I had one and I would order it again and again.
Saturday was the University of Maryland's men's lacrosse team's season opener. The team started with a splash by defeating Hartford 12-6. This was my first lacrosse game in the press box, so it was cool to see a different perspective and really start to understand the rules. Although I played girls lacrosse in high school, the men's version couldn't be any more different.
The real excitement in Maryland athletics came on Sunday when the women's basketball team defeated Duke. Alyssa Thomas swatted the winning Duke three-pointer away as time expired.
Things I've learned -
- Wining and dining is fun.
- Always keep an extra pair of panty hose in your car.
- Don't expect too much from people.
- Always remember to smile. :)
